ISMAIL KHONJI graduated from London University in 1966 and subsequently worked on a wide range of projects for international consultants based in London including Harris & Sutherland and Binnie & Partners. Ismail Khonji has overseen the design and construction of all major IKA projects in Bahrain including Taib Bank, Zamil Tower, BCCI Tower, Gulf Hotel, Diplomat Towers, Janadriyah Grandstand, Isa Sports City, the Model Sports Clubs, Bahrain Flour Mills Silos, bridges on Durrat Highway and Amwaj etc. He is a Fellow of both the UK Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He founded Ismail Khonji Associates in Bahrain in 1984.

JOHN BARNES graduated in 1990 with BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators. He has more than 25 years' experience with internationally renowned construction companies on complex Civil, Structural and Marine Projects. He specialises in Engineering Design, Project Management and Contract Administration. John worked on the construction of Al Yah Tower in Al Raha Beach, Diyar Al Muharraq and East Sitra Reclamations and various ports marine projects in Hong Kong and around Bahrain. He has design and/or supervision skills in buildings, district cooling stations, utilities, landscaping, bridges and road infrastructure and in drainage and water mains. His primary roles involved leading management positions and his special skills include Engineering Design, Construction Supervision, Planning, Contract Administration, Project Management and Dispute Resolution.

ROBERT HENRY McCLEAN obtained his degree in Civil Engineering in 1971 and became a Chartered member of the UK Institution of Civil Engineers in 1978. He has more than 20 years' experience as Projects Engineer/Manager and Senior Resident Engineer in the UK before joining IKA in 2007. In his 10 years' working for the Waterman Group in the UK he was Resident Engineer on a wide range of complex projects.

SWAMY MANJUNATH obtained his Master’s degree in Industrial Structures in 1993 and now has over twenty eight years' experience in structural engineering design within a consultancy environment. His experience covers a broad range of buildings and structures including high rise towers in reinforced concrete, industrial steel buildings and residential villas.

MOHAMMED ABDEL AZIZ obtained his degree in Architectural Engineering from Alexandria University in 1987 followed by a Master’s degree in 2005 and a Doctorate in 2010. He joined Ismail Khonji Associates in May 2006 as a Senior Architect. In his 19 year career as an architect in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Egypt he has gained wide experience in the study, design and supervision of hospitals, health centres, hotels, commercial buildings and restaurants. He has also been responsible for the interior design of a number of commercial and residential projects.

SHABBIR DALAL is a Senior Structural Engineer who was initially employed by IKA from August 1985 to March 2008. During that time he was responsible for the structural design of many of IKA projects. Shabbir rejoined IKA from November 2014 and is continuing with the structural design work as a team leader.

SRIDHAR MANGU is a Senior Civil Engineer who was employed by IKA from December 1998 to November 2007. Sridhar obtained his degree in Civil Engineering in 1984 and has over 25 years' of experience working with contracting and consulting firms, in structural design, site supervision, structural investigations and repairs. Sridhar has rejoined IKA from November 2016 as a Senior Project Engineer, and is currently involved as Project Engineer on Crowne Plaza Hotel Refurbishment and Special School at Riffa.

C MOHAN who holds a M.Tech degree in Structural Engineering was initially employed by IKA from January 1990 to December 2008 as a Senior Site Engineer. He rejoined IKA from June 2015 and is now the Senior Site Engineer and Project Manager on a number of prestigious projects including the expansion and refurbishment of the 2 towers on the King Fahad Causeway.
